Government issues an ‘important’ warning for Android devices, here’s what users can do

CERT-In, the government that monitors bugs and vulnerabilities, has issued a high severity warning for multiple versions of Android, including the latest Android 14. The government body has mentioned several vulnerabilities found in the Android operating system that can allow attackers to gain access to sensitive data, execute arbitrary code, gain elevated privileges, or cause denial of service conditions. These vulnerabilities exist in Android due to flaws in various components such as the Framework, System, Google Play system updates, Arm components, and more. Users are advised to apply the latest security patch available for their device.
